NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE COMFORT OF YOUR OWN HOME
From tender cuddles to sleepy yawns, documentary newborn photography is about making photos of genuine, unposed moments between you and your baby. Instead of staged poses, your images will show real interactions, emotions, and connections, resulting in utterly honest, timeless images.
TELLING A STORY OF THEIR EARLIEST DAYS
The photos tell a story by capturing the everyday moments and routines of your family's life with your new baby. Your images will reflect the love, joy, and challenges of parenthood, letting you relive those precious early days for years to come.
MEMORIES, RICH IN EMOTION
By documenting raw and unfiltered moments of parenthood, your images will preserve the fleeting moments of these earliest days, creating lasting, emotionally rich memories.
CELEBRATING WHAT MAKES YOUR FAMILY UNIQUE
By recording the messy, imperfect, funny and spontaneous moments of life with your new baby we are creating images that reflect the unique personality and character of your family, rather than staged portraits that can feel artificial.
“Jen made us feel at ease instantly. She was very skilled at being present, yet giving space so we could all be doing our usual thing.”
- Lucy Arnsby-Wilson
Hi there!
Inviting a family photographer into your home for the first time can feel like a big step. Let me tell you a little bit about myself so that we’re no longer strangers to each other. I’m Jen. I live with my lovely wife Jo, our Harry-Potter-loving 7 year old daughter and Guinness, our cat. Life in our house can be pretty chaotic and it takes us about two hours to leave the house wherever we go!
No two families are the same, and that’s why I love what I do. I can’t wait to meet you and your people!
YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING…
What do I need to do to prepare for our photo session?
Absolutely nothing! You don’t even need to tidy your home because that pile of washing in the corner tells its own story. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, both physically and emotionally.
What if my baby cries / has a meltdown / falls asleep?
In documentary photography all emotions are welcome, and any moment can be turned into a beautiful image. If your baby falls asleep and there is more than 30 minutes remaining of your photo session I am very happy to split the session and visit you another day*.
*I can offer this only to families who live within a 30 minute drive of Stroud.
